    The WELLNESS EXPERIENCE Awards assess nominees based on a combination of performance in sustainability, impact on the wellness industry, customer experience, and other key indicators such as the use of technology, digitalisation, and commitment to standards (certifications).

    An Award for establishments that elevate the art of wellness to its highest expression

    Created in 2017, the WELLNESS EXPERIENCE Awards are held every two years and have distinguished the excellence and innovation of tourist establishments, spas, seawater therapy and wellness centres dedicated to maximising the wellness experience. First in the Iberian Peninsula and later opening these awards to Europe and the rest of the world. The choice takes into account architectural design, aquatic facilities and equipment, sustainable practices, digitalisation, the service portfolio, its positive impact on the community, as well as customer feedback.

    Categories and procedure

    In 2025 the WELLNESS EXPERIENCE Awards will recognise the best wellness establishments in three geographical areas: Iberian Peninsula, Europe and International.

    Among the works nominated by the jury, THREE PRIZES PER CATEGORY will be awarded:

    • Best wellness spa.
    • Best spa.
    • Best wellness clinic.
    • Best wellness destination.
    • Special mentions of professionals in the wellness sector from research, technology, training or social transformation.

    The WELLNESS EXPERIENCE 2025 Awards will value technological innovation, design, sustainability (we are committed to wellness tourism that is healthy, accessible and aligned with the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda), digitalisation, social impact, customer experience and customer feedback on platforms such as Google Reviews, TripAdvisor and TrustPilot. As for wellness destinations, awards will be given to healthy, accessible, sustainable and culturally connected wellness locations.

    As in the previous edition, a jury of experts will nominate projects from leading international brands specialising in the design, construction and equipment of wellness spaces and spas geared towards health and wellness in hotels, sports centres, spas and other tourist accommodation.

    The jury is made up of renowned experts in the fields of tourism, wellness and sustainability.

    Javier Abelo

    Director of Spalopia Academy.

    Javier Albelo

    Javier Albelo is the Director of Spalopia Academy, an online training academy specializing in spa management training. He has worked in the wellness technology sector for 10 years, where he has held various positions in marketing and communications.

    Dorelis Padrón

    Expert in luxury tourism and founder of THE SINGULAR CHOICE.

    Dorelis Padrón

    Dorelis Padrón is an expert in luxury tourism and founder of THE SINGULAR CHOICE, a luxury experiential tourism brand for exclusive clients. She’s passionate about high-end wellness tourism and has also created a training academy in luxury tourism.

    Sònia Graupera

    Luxury travel professional.

    Sònia Graupera

    Sònia Graupera is a luxury travel professional specializing in unique hotels, wellness in its broadest sense, and MICE. She travels around the world to evaluate and write about the most exceptional destinations and establishments, as well as to discover wellness offerings and the latest trends in the field. Sports, beauty routines, and massages are part of her daily life. On her social media accounts, @LuxeGraupix, she shares images of everything she sees and experiences.

    Activities

    The Prize consists of a prize-giving ceremony and an exhibition of the works.

    The ceremony will take place on Monday 17 November at a event along with the other awards organised by the Piscina Barcelona show, and consists of the presentation of the award and a diploma. Receiving a Wellness Experience Award is an international recognition that puts the winning establishments on the radar of the most demanding and health and wellness-conscious travellers.

    The exhibition of the winning works will be located in the show’s Innovation Zone, which can be visited from 17 to 20 November 2025.
