We are a Towards Zero Impact event
We have a strong commitment to waste reduction and resource efficiency. That is why we follow the three principles of the EU Circular Economy strategy: we use fewer materials, we reuse and recycle products, and we avoid food waste.
In 2023, as part of the measures to reduce the event’s environmental footprint, all the pools and spas were filled with vitalised seawater. After the show closes, the water was collected again in tanker trucks to be reused in other aquatic facilities or fire-fighting ponds. In addition, the Wellness Experience was decorated with thermal blankets, which had a second use in a residential swimming pool.
