Piscina Barcelona 2025: Nearly Sold Out, 22% Bigger Than Last Edition

With five months to go, Piscina Barcelona 2025 is almost at full capacity, with 98% of exhibition space already reserved and a strong presence from global industry leaders. Taking place from 17 to 20 November at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue, this year’s edition will be 22% larger than in 2023, bringing together over 400 exhibitors from 30 countries and doubling the space dedicated to outdoor equipment. This reinforces its position as the most international event in the European calendar for the pool, wellness and outdoor sectors.

Organised by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Spanish industry association ASOFAP, the event will cover 45,000 m² gross, distributed across Halls 1 and 2 of the venue. In this edition, 68% of participating companies will be international, showcasing the most innovative and representative offerings from across the pool, wellness and outdoor value chain. The leading exhibiting countries are, in order: Spain, China, France, Turkey, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, the USA, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, and the Czech Republic.

Prominent exhibitors such as Fluidra, Aiper, Hayward, Pnhx, Productos QP, Renolit, Aquavia Spa, Beatbot, Maytronics, Misouri, Wybotics, Proteam Europa, Superior Wellness, Action Park, Piscinas Condal, Espa, Rosa Gres and BWT will unveil cutting-edge solutions focused on water and energy efficiency, smart maintenance, user experience enhancement, and the reduction of chemical use in pools, spas and aquatic facilities. Interest in the outdoor segment continues to rise, with this area now hosting more than 40 specialised companies, double the number from the last edition.

“The strong international interest confirms Piscina Barcelona’s status as a global benchmark for the entire sector value chain. The expanded exhibition space, strengthened outdoor segment, and high-calibre scheduled activities all reflect the dynamism, innovation, and sustainability driving our industry,” says Ángel Celorrio, Director of Piscina Barcelona 2025.

This edition will spotlight outdoor and wellness spaces, reflecting one of the sector’s fastest-growing trends. A new central feature, the Outdoor & Wellness Experience, will occupy approximately 1,000 m² in Hall 1. Designed by landscape architect Rosa Maria Torra Reventós, and supported by the Spanish Association of Landscape Architects and the Catalan Architects’ Association, this area will combine a fully functional wellness centre with an outdoor showroom, showcasing the synergy between wellbeing and outdoor living.

    International reach
With more than 15,000 visitors expected—60% of whom are international, from up to 117 countries—the show will attract a broad professional audience: importers, distributors, retailers, architects, engineers, builders, installers, landscape designers, interior designers, and managers of sports centres, spas, hotels, campsites and waterparks.

The fair serves as a high-value business and networking platform, strategically linking Europe, the Mediterranean, and Latin America. One example is the Hosted Buyers Programme, which will welcome around 1,000 purchasing decision-makers and specifiers from 26 key markets in addition to Spain, all linked to projects in aquatic facility and wellness centre design, construction and equipment.

Spaces for business, innovation and networking
Among the activities promoting international collaboration, the seventh edition of the International Business Meeting on Hospitality, Design & Wellness will stand out, with participants from Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East. Since its inception, the event has been an effective platform for connecting supply and demand in these markets through knowledge exchange and business meetings.

The show will also host Mexico Day, featuring representatives from Mexican organisations who will present opportunities for architects, interior designers, builders and manufacturers, driven by major investments in construction and refurbishment projects in the country. In turn, Andalucía Day will showcase the region’s new aquatic, wellness and hotel development projects, with the support of local companies and institutions.

An Innovation Zone will feature a runway of new products and solutions focused on sustainability and digitalisation in aquatic facilities. Furthermore, Piscina Barcelona will host numerous conferences and technical sessions aimed at professional development, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies in sustainable and efficient pool design, as well as landscaping and outdoor design workshops.

    Featured events and forums
Piscina Barcelona will be the venue for the third edition of Pool Horizons, a global forum for strategic reflection on the role of pools in society. The event will bring together sector and societal experts to explore key challenges such as sustainability, health, inclusion, and water safety. The forum will present leading “best in class” projects and the conclusions from its international working groups.

In addition, the fair will host the 13th International Landscape Biennial of Barcelona, promoted by the Catalan Architects’ Association and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, focusing on landscape architecture as a vital tool in the fight against climate change. The event will include lectures, debates, and exhibitions involving leading professionals in the field.

    Awards and talent
Piscina Barcelona will also present several awards, including the Piscina Barcelona Awards for Best Residential and Public Pools and the Most Innovative Product in Connectivity and Sustainability; the Wellness Experience Awards for best spas, wellness centres, wellness clinics, thermal resorts, and destinations; the International Competition for Architecture and Landscape Students; and the Outdoor Design Awards, recognising creativity and innovation in designing urban gardens, terraces, hotels and campsites. These will be presented on the afternoon of 17 November at the fair.

On 18 November, the show will also host the EUSA Awards 2025, honouring Europe’s best residential pools, organised by the European Union of Swimming Pool and Spa Associations.

A new addition to the show will be the Talent Marketplace, a recruitment space connecting exhibiting companies with professionals actively seeking employment in the sector. Supported by Barcelona Activa, the initiative will facilitate on-site interviews and networking, with assistance in candidate profiling, pre-selection and coordination.

Spain among the world’s top pool markets
The Spanish pool sector comprises 2,000 companies employing around 70,000 people directly and indirectly. Spain has more than 1.3 million pools (residential and collective use), making it the second-highest pool market in Europe after France and the fourth-largest globally—behind the US, Brazil and France—representing roughly 7% of the 17 million pools worldwide.
