    Paolo Picchi

    Biography

    Paolo Picchi stands out for his ability to integrate landscape design with energy sustainability, exploring how landscapes can be positively transformed within the context of the energy transition without losing their ecological, cultural, or perceptual values.
    His research areas include landscape architecture; landscape planning and design in relation to renewable technologies; assessment of ecosystem services and territorial mapping; and analysis of social commitments, participatory governance, and environmental trade-offs in changing landscapes.
    He has taught courses on landscape analysis and interpretation, garden history, and planting design at the Università degli Studi di Trento and the Università Iuav di Venezia. He is currently active at the Università degli Studi di Firenze.
