Innovative solutions for the exterior of the pool – The potential of bamboo

Within the framework of the Fira Piscinas Barcelona, we present a session dedicated to sustainable and high-performance materials for the pool environment. The talk will feature two speakers who will provide a complementary vision, technical and practical, on the use of bamboo as a constructive and decorative solution for exteriors.

The first speaker will be Francesca Fernandez,  representative of Distiplas, a leading company in the distribution of innovative materials. He will introduce us to bamboo as an efficient and aesthetic alternative for outdoor spaces, describing its main characteristics: resistance, durability, dimensional stability and behavior in the face of humidity. It will also delve into the environmental value of bamboo, a renewable material that stands out for its low ecological impact and high sustainability. Finally, he will explain how this material adapts to different types of projects, offering versatile and high-quality solutions.

The second speaker will be Jordi Cuenca, an interior designer specialising in hotels, who will share his direct experience in the application of bamboo in real projects. He will present several success stories, such as the Hotel Daia Conil, where this material has provided personality, cohesion and durability to outdoor areas, highlighting its practical and aesthetic advantages. Their professional perspective will allow them to understand how bamboo can respond to both the functional demands of the hotel sector and the expectations of comfort and design.

The presentation will be developed in a dynamic format, encouraging a fluid dialogue between the two speakers.
